Let me start by saying, I am so glad that I was able to go on such an amazing trip with my sister-in-law Cameron. We made the most of every minute in NYC. I’m so proud of Noah and the Keller Indian Marching Band. It was 21 degrees and they handled it like champs marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
I had such a fun time dressing for colder weather! Most of the selfies and mirror pictures were taken to send to Sister and Julie! 🤣 I really had no intent on including them here, until I went through my over 1,400 pictures😱 and thought why not?! ❄️
Besides getting to see the band march in the parade, visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum was my favorite thing that we did. They did such a good job of being respectful to the families and loved ones so everyone who lost their lives in 9/11 and in 1993 parking garage bombing in that garage of one of the trade centers. We did a guided tour that I would highly recommend and then were able to go to two exhibits. The exhibits exhibits were heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.
Also, Broadway shows were at the top of the list too! We went to a performance every night we were there.
Here is a list of things we did while there:
1. Time Square
2. Broadway (Mean Girls, Phantom and Pretty Woman)
3. 9/11 Memorial Museum and Memorial
4. One World Trade Center
5. Statue of Liberty
6. Ellis Island
7. Brooklyn Bridge
8. Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Plaza
9. Grand Central Station
10. Central Park and exploring the Upper East Side
11. Radio City Rockettes Show
12. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
13. Thanksgiving Dinner Boat Cruise
...and ate such delicious food. Carmine’s and Wolfgang’s were my favorites for sure, but a street hot dog, New York pizza and Jacks Wife Freda were pretty delicious too!
It was definitely the trip of a lifetime! Thank you Cameron and Noah for letting me tag along!! 💙
