All Ready for 3rd Grade!

I don't even know where to begin. Tomorrow is the first day of my third year of teaching. I feel so many different emotions right now. Change (even if chosen) is never easy, and so much has changed since this time last year. I applied to and accepted a position to be apart of opening up West Cypress Hills Elementary, the newest school in Lake Travis ISD. I miss all of my sweet kiddos and co-workers at Forest North. However, I am excited about this opportunity and can't believe tomorrow is only a few hours away!

We've been really, really busy getting the school and systems in place to have a successful school year. We ended up adding four new teachers to WCH this past week, one of whom is on our third grade team! We are very excited to add Abbie to our team!

L to R: Me, Emily, Monica, Stacee and Abbie

We've already had a week of inservice, convocation and Meet the Teacher. Convocation was amazing and inspirational. Meet the Teacher was great! All but one of my students came. Everyone was so excited about the new school and third grade!

One of my sweet girls brought me this at Meet the Teacher! I almost cried! :) So sweet.

Ms. Pearson's Pandas are officially ready for Monday! :)

I'm beyond blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people. Not only have I made so many new friends, I also get to work with two of my bridesmaids, Becca and Brooke, and be on the same team as my sweet friend Monica, a Teacher Fellow from my cohort. :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Brother's Annual Visit!

I promised my little brother that once he turned 10 that every summer he could come visit me in Austin! This was our third annual visit!

En route

We kept this visit pretty chill compared to the last few! Lots of pool time, board games, Xbox, and Netflix (and maybe some time spent in my classroom.) ;)

Game nights

Brother helped a lot with moving me into my classroom. He may have kept up with how many hours were there, but he helped. ;)

Pool Time

Panera date

Bowling :)

Not only did we do fun stuff, but for some of the visit, Brother ate clean and worked out with us. :)
Jamie Eason turkey muffins

Pumpkin Protein bars

Peanut Butter Protein Crisp

We talked about how pretty it is out here and joked about naming the hills. He named one Hillie Nelson. He was pretty proud of that one! ;)

Our last day! Brother joined me for Panera and was a trooper and entertained himself at Barnes and Noble while I met with my team. :) he's really into history, so I let him get a book about WW2.

I'm so happy he was able to come visit us! I already miss him and we still have 2 1/2 hours in the car!

Thanks for reading!
