“And Suddenly you know...

...It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”

We knew on July 16, when Russell was offered and accepted a job with Kyle FD. ❤️

We had already packed up all of our things-most of which we put in storage, the rest we brought with us to our friend Weller’s house in Seguin. He was kind enough to let us crash in his guest room until we figured out our next move.

Even before Russell accepted the offer in Kyle, we had some serious discussions about our immediate future—we had decided we would stay with Weller while we looked for somewhere closer to my new job at Garden Ridge. We had also agreed that if he was hired on somewhere by the middle of July, then we would discuss potentially moving to wherever that meant.

Because God has a sense of humor and knows I can adapt pretty well to change, Russell landed his job on July 16. Let the middle of July life decisions discussions resume.

On July 17, we came to the conclusion that if we could both work where we live that that would be pretty ideal for where we are and are planning to go in our lives right now. So, we drove out to GRES and I explained the situation to my principal who was so supportive. I was so sad about leaving Bailey and GRES, but was so excited about what this meant for my little family. Definitely bittersweet.

I couldn’t get into my new classroom until August 6, so all of my classroom stuff pictured above luckily fit snuggly with all of our other things in storage. 🤣 On July 18 and 19, I had interviews at two Hays CISD schools, one of which I absolutely fell in love with.😍 I’m so excited to share that I will be joining Hays CISD as a 4th grade Science/SS teacher at Negley Elementary in Kyle this school year. The top window on the right is my new home away from home! 💕

Shout out to my besties Lindsay and Patrick for helping me get all moved in on Monday. 😍 I couldn’t have done it without y’all! Thank y’all so much.

Also, a special thank you to my other bestie Julie, for helping me make sense of my new space yesterday! ❤️

After spending some time house hunting, Russell and I decided that we should get to know our new town before jumping into a mortgage at a house we felt rushed into because our our timeline, sooo we found a tiny apartment, just the perfect size for us and our pup and moved in yesterday.

Have I mentioned yet how amazing our tribe is? Or  how proud I am of my husband? ☺️ They’re the BEST and I’m BEYOND PROUD.

If I’m MIA for a bit it’s because it’s that time of year, where alllll my time goes to my classroom. I promise to do a classroom post before school starts. 💕

All my love,

Amanda
