Guess what came in the mail!!!

After returning from a girls weekend in Fredericksburg with my five favorite Aggies, Meghan, Shanna, Katie, Kelsey, and Morgan, I decided to lay on the couch for a bit. A little bit ago Russell asked me if I wanted to go get Mexican food and who turns down Mexican food?? Not this girl! When we returned, I asked Russell to drive by the mailbox to check the mail, which I've had him do every day since Jenni told us she mailed it...Who am I kidding, I had him checking the mail even before I knew they were en route!

AND......It was in there! The box containing our engagement pictures!

 I loved the packaging! It made it even more exciting!

We also received this complimentary 8x10 and a sweet thank you note!

I'll get straight to it now! Here are some of our favorites!

We said YES to...the Venue! :)

If you've been keeping up, Russell and I had to find a new wedding venue to accommodate our wedding guest list!

Well, we need to look no further! I dragged Russell along to yet another venue tour today! He picked me up from school and we drove to Dripping Springs to checkout their newest venue Ma Maison! The Mopac and Dripping traffic were completely worth it when we arrived and laid eyes on this breathtaking new venue.

I didn't think that I could love anything more than I loved Camp Lucy...well I was wrong, AND Russell really liked this one too! We met Rachael, the manager at the entrance and she gave us a tour of the grounds! She was so personable and friendly and answered most of my questions before I could ask them. I was so stunned by my surroundings that Russell was asking all of the important questions! :)

Of course, I took a lot of pictures which I've looked at numerous times again since I've been home! :) Now....what you have all been waiting for....

 

Stunned as soon as we parked, but the inside blew me away!

Perfect "Plan B"/cocktail hour

Parts of the property were still under construction including the Bride's Suite, but I had to take a picture of this beautiful piece of furniture in the sitting room.

 The reception hall was unparalleled to anything we've seen so far

 Did I mention that bridal suite comes with a sitting room, a restroom, a private garden, a room to get ready in and has private access to another restroom for more space to get ready???

Also, there's a bell tower that we can go up in and take pictures!

It's simply perfect. :) These pictures do it NO justice!

I can't wait to actually start planning our wedding now. ;)

I couldn't imagine tying the knot without theknot.com

As a reward for inputting all of my grades, I'm doing another post! :)

I registered for The Knot before Russell and I were even engaged, and I would get emails all the time on the latest wedding planning ideas! After we got engaged, I went in and updated it and it has proved to be so helpful!

I think besides the endless wedding ideas, there are three parts of The Knot that I've already found to be so helpful and fun!

1. The Wedding Website

If you're my friend on facebook you've seen my wedding website pop up in your newsfeed numerous times, each time there was an update. You can pretty much customize it however you want. It's the perfect place for your guests to get all of the information that they'll need about your wedding day.

2. The Checklist

After you put in your wedding date, it creates a checklist for you that will tell you when you should complete each task. This is extremely helpful for me because if I don't have it written down in a list somewhere, it most likely won't get done. :) There is a free companion app that I downloaded on my phone for it too!

My favorite feature is that it crosses each task out when you finish it! Talk about feeling accomplished! :)

3. The Guest List

You can import your guest list if you have it saved on your computer and it creates an Excel spreadsheet where guests can input their own information when you send them an email. It's quite easy to do!

I know a lot of people use wedding.com which is very similar. I just happened into The Knot and I'm so happy I did!
