We had lots of fun things going on the end of the year that I've shared about some on social media, but I wanted to blog about it too, because why not?! All of the following happened in the month of MAY...along with STAAR testingπ and the talent show, so when people say there's no tired like end of the year teacher tired..it's true.
Multiplication Movie Challenge- Our team did a challenge to encourage our kiddos to learn their facts! They earned stickers for each set of facts mastered on their personal tracker! Every 2-3 sets of facts mastered, they earned a reward that led up to a our movie! I had 7 kids earn VIP seating, which means they mastered all of their facts through 12s!
Mrs. Hodges had a great idea! We voted on five movies and let the kiddos choose which one they wanted to watch after we passed out their rewards, and they got to the classroom that was showing it!
CINCO DE MAYO STAAR Review Day- We planned a STAAR Review day on Cinco de Mayo! How perfect right?! Our kiddos LOVED it!
To review reading comprehension, we read a non-fiction reading passage and agreed on each question as a team. After each table group agreed and were correct, they were able to put a post it up on our Connect Four board! It was super easy and SO MUCH FUN!
Then, we read a fiction reading passage, for each question answered correctly, students moved a Jenga piece from the Jenga tower! :)
To review problem solving skills, we played Trashketball. Each correct problem, gave you the opportunity to shoot 1, 2, or 3 pointers!
For Stinky Feet, each sticky note had a point amount on the back ranging from -10 to +25! After solving a problem correctly, students would choose a sticky note and either add points or subtract points from their team's total (that's the stinky part)!
My bulletin board :)
Ms. Bridges' board
Mrs. Stagg's board
Mrs. Hodges' board
Mrs. Williams' board
Julie made these precious bucket fillers for our kiddos! :)
We also did a computations sidewalk scoot, with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Not pictured are the Context Clues Relay Race and the chips and salsa celebration that we had at the end of the day! :)
I'm so grateful to have been on a team with these four! They were always open to my crazy ideas, no matter how stressful it made things! LOVE YALL!
Balloon Countdown for the last 11 days!
Special Person Ceremony-Our third graders loved honoring a special person in their life!
Each special person received a rose, a copy of the essay written about them, and treats!
Ms. Bridges created this template for us to have a program for the ceremony!
My sweet Jada picked me to be her special person, and I cried.
So did Elijah, and I cried some more.

End of the Year Party- We had a luau themed EOY Party and it was precious!
We ordered these little bags online and our sweet friend, Linda put the names of our kids on each one (110 of them!!!)
Each kiddo received the bag, a lei, a beach ball, bubbles and a glow stick! :) Over half of the bag contents I had left over form years past. π
Each kiddo received this poem in their bag, too! I got this from Ideas by Jivey!
Dollar Tree was SO CLUTCH. All of our decorations came from there!
Julie found these EOY awards by the Not So Wimpy Teacher, which were perfect for our kiddos, and I had them solve my special message about me going to fourth grade! :)
At our end of the year party, we had smoothies and played Minute to Win It games! It was a BLAST!
Pack Up, Stack Up, Clean Up- After I reorganized, packed up, and stacked up almost all of my things (throwing away some of my hoarding along the way), and pulling hundreds of staples out of the walls; I closed the door on Room 415 and on my third grade adventures of this year.
Retreat- We ended the year at Red Corral Ranch, and I for one, could NOT be more excited for next school year!
This is height order, I held down the shortest spot!
Our final team photo!
That's a wrap 2016-2017 school year. π
