This weekend we got to share our town with more of our sweet family! This was Blake and Cameron and the kiddos first family trip out here, since our wedding, and we LOVED having them! We spent some time showing them our favorite places, hanging out at the pool, floating the river, at Schlitterbahn and eating...lots of eating!
After a little pool time, we were off to the river!
Uncle Russell under packed the cooler...it rained for the last 15 minutes and I told Cameron the wrong exit, so they had to scale someone's yard, but other than those things--River Trip #2 was a SUCCESS.
Pre-dinner photoshoot with my Maddie girl!
Gristmill, two weekends in a row!
I had given the hostess my name, but Russell asked her to put his name because it isn't as common, and then spelled it for her three times anddd we ended up with that! 😂
We ended up with a river view table! It was toasty, but beautiful!
Hotel de Bisbey comes complete with 2 air mattresses a sofa, one bathroom, and a galley kitchen in a spacious 675 square feet! ;) BUT, we love it!!
Day 2 consisted of burying Uncle Russell with pillows and blankets, lunch at Centerpoint, drive through tour of Texas State, Schlitterbahn and dinner at Cantina del Rio in Gruene! :) Every person Russell works with was surprised to see him there on his day off because of his positive attitude towards the service industry...but a Mexican restaurant in a treehouse and those margaritas...come on-we were going there!
This is probably the most precious picture of the weekend and that little waterproof pouch is the best investment of my summer!
I was entirely TOO excited about floating on this hippo in the Lazy River! 😝
We ended the weekend with some Sunday morning Maddie snuggles, Snapchat and Buttermilk Cafe! :)
Uncle Russell caught these sweet shots of Maddie girl! She was going to town on Buttermilk Cafe's coffee cake with grape jelly and some pancakes ! That's my girl!
We are so grateful that Blake, Cameron, Maddie and Noah were able to come visit! We've had a family filled summer and have loved every minute of it. Now, if Summer '17 could please slow down, that would be great!
Thanks for stopping by!
