Big Brothers, Beaumont, and a Baby?

On June 24, I received a text that read:

Hopi😘: Do you have any plans this week? 

Me: Um, my sister is just having a baby is all!! 😍💙

I thought she was being cute, but what was really going on was Baby Grayson was due to arrive in T minus 5 days and there had been enough progress on the house that Operation Baby Grayson’s Nursery could commence. So, she was calling in reinforcements and the next day, I headed east. 

Up until this point, she just kept sweeping up the dirt piles the contractors were walking in and out and mopping the same spots over and over because things weren’t quite ready, but she couldn’t sit idly waiting for them to be.

The doctors appointment on Monday bought us time because Baby Grayson has no intention of arriving on June 29 (so no baby this post). We spent the next several days, trying to get everything as ready as possible before he did decide to come (whenever that might be) and soaking up priceless moments with Brent and Aiden.

Because Hopi is the best Hopi ever, she planned one final big surprise for the boys before Baby Grayson’s arrival—> Painting with a Twist, where we got to paint LucyPup! Then, Man Man decided slime 😱 and summer desserts were a must! These boys were TROOPERS on all of our shopping trips! Even Spence got to get it in on the shopping! Uncle Russell even came in for day and we got in some wiffle ball! Spence, Hopi and I provided moral support as Andy did all the hard work! 😂

Alright, all ready for Baby Grayson’s arrival. 

I’m so grateful that I got to make memories with the sweetest big brothers a baby could ask for and their Hopi and Daddy while we all waited impatiently for his arrival. 

SPOILER ALERT: He waited another ELEVEN days past the date we expected to see him for the first time, to make his arrival! 💙👶🏻
