Russell Gets the Gun

I've learned a lot about registering for gifts this week.

1. Make sure you register for things that you really want. Even if you think you could just buy it for yourself or it's too expensive. Some people will go in on a group present and you just may end up with your KitchenAid standing mixer.

2. You should register for more gifts than guests. My guest count is 350, so Macys recommended I register for 400 things.

3. There's s breakdown of the number of items within each price point. 2/3 of the items should be under $100. The other third split 60-40 with between $100-150 and over $150.

4. Etiquette says you shouldn't put where your registered in your wedding invitations. You can include them in your shower invitations and refer people to a wedding website if you have one. However, I personally think it's more of a convenience than bad etiquette.

5. Most people register 2-3 places. We did 3 and a hometown store.

Here are some pictures from our Wedding Registering adventures. :)

Here we are at Target.
Russell was in charge of the gun. :)

Now, at Macys. ☺️

We registered for very similar things at all three locations (Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and Macy's). All three were very pleasant and helpful. I will say BB&B was the best. We had our own personal helper. This may make some people uncomfortable, but he wasn't awkward. He was humorous and made it more fun!

Hope this helps!
